On March 29, 2024, the regional competition "Best in Profession" was held in the direction of "Installation and maintenance of electromechanical and mining equipment" among students of technical and vocational, post-secondary education institutions.
The goal of the competition is to raise the prestige of blue-collar professions, improve the quality of training for professional personnel, and increase interest in the chosen specialty.
The competition was attended by students from TTiPPO institutions specializing in "Maintenance, repair, and operation of electromechanical equipment (by types and industries)" and the qualification "Underground electrician."
The competition consisted of three modules:
Module A – Theoretical part: knowledge of occupational safety and health regulations when operating mine electrical equipment.
Module B – Theoretical part: knowledge of the operating principle of the mine starter PVI-125B and the ability to read a schematic electrical diagram.
Module C – Practical part: connecting the KU-92 button to the PVI-125B starter and activating the starter.
In each module, participants demonstrated their theoretical and practical knowledge, as well as their professional skills.
All participants were evaluated according to set criteria by an independent jury consisting of representatives from the Kazakhstan, Tentek, and Lenin mines.
The winners were determined as follows:
1st place – Stanislav Grachev, KGP "Shakhtinsky Technological College"; 2nd place – Ivan Zaytsev, KGP "Karaganda Higher Polytechnic College"; 3rd place – Vladimir Belyaev, KGP "Sarani Technical College."
The winners were awarded diplomas, and the participants received certificates from the Educational and Methodological Center for the Development of Education of the Karaganda Region.
