WorldSkills is a movement aimed at positive changes in the development of human capital. It is a group of organizations and people who work together to advance the common goal of improving skills and competencies around the world.
An important mission of the WorldSkills movement is professional orientation, the introduction of young people into the world of modern professions.
Each country has its own WorldSkills movement, and the WorldSkills International Championship is held every 4 years. Where the best participants gather, who are members of the national team of their country and defend its honor.
The first Republican Championship was held in Kazakhstan in 2015. Since then, the WorldSkills Kazakhstan movement has been increasing its potential every year, with an increasing number of competencies, talented participants and competent experts.
Kazakhstan's largest working Professions championship creates an exciting, interactive and engaging environment for thousands of students, interns and children.
Participants can observe and experience an unsurpassed variety of professional professions under one roof, watching competitions, and interacting with hundreds of industry and educational experts.
The Karaganda region is an active participant in the WorldSkills National Movement in 30 competencies, 9 of which are attended by students of our college.:
- Cooking business;
- Electronics;
- Information cable networks;
- Confectionery business;
- Cooking business;
- Repair and maintenance of passenger cars;
- Welding technologies;
- Electrical installation work;
- Bodywork;
- Car painting.
In 2019, the Electronics Competence Center according to WorldSkills international standards was opened on the basis of the Shakhty Technological College with the support of the Education Department of the Karaganda Region and the Educational and Methodological Center. The best craftsmen from all over the region come to our college: Balkhash, Zhezkazgan, Temirtau and other cities to take part in the Electronics competence championship.
Winning the regional stage is only part of the path that the winner will have to go through. After the victory, you will have to defend the honor of your region to get a place to participate in the finals of the National Championship, along with other best participants from other regions.
The winners of the qualifying stages, representatives of the regions and cities of Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent go to the finals of the National Championship. After the finals, the winners will be determined, who will be part of the national team of Kazakhstan and the reserve team.
In 2021, Vladislav Lukanin, our 4th year student of the EP-918 group, took part in the WorldSkills Kazakhstan National Championship in Electronics competence. Today, participation in WorldSkills has become popular and prestigious for both the participant and the employer. After all, WorldSkills has long since "stepped up" from popularization of working professions to an effective tool for personnel development for high-tech industries. For many large companies, WorldSkills is part of a comprehensive staff training system.
The college administration expresses its deep gratitude to Mikhail Vasilyevich Pravosudov, the chief expert of the Electronics competence, and Ivan Alexandrovich Khamkov, a fellow expert, for preparing our participant for WorldSkills.
