KGKP «Shakhty Technological College»

Shakhty Technological College traces its history back to May 25, 1964, when, in accordance with Order No. 268 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the USSR, a mining and construction college was established in Shakhtinsk. The educational institution was renamed several times, and in 1995 it was named Shakhty Technological College. In 2018, the college was reorganized through a merger with the Shakhty Mining and Industrial College.

Shakhtinsk is part of the largest industrial region of the Karaganda region. The college's biography is inseparable from the history of our city - development, work achievements, difficulties and successes. Shamsutdinov Sh.Yu. became the first director, and later the college was headed by: Ibraev B.Zh., Zhubangaliev Zh.Z., Kilenina N.I., Mamerkhanova Zh.S.

Among the first students of the college were the famous pioneer builders of our city, whose names are listed today in the book of honorary citizens of Shakhtinsk: Volenberg A.E., Alaberdina G.F., Sevastyanova N.E., Volkova G.V., Kolomayko V.F., Krivoruchko A.I., Bokarev L.M., Rolsing A.A.

Victor Mazin is an Olympic weightlifting champion (Olympic Games – 80). The winner of the USSR Cup in 1978, the silver medalist of the VIII-th Summer Spartakiad of the CCC peoples in 1968, set a new Olympic record for featherweight weightlifters – 290 kg.
Anatoly Alexandrov is a Master of Sports of the USSR, 2-time Intercontinental Champion (WBC), 6-time European champion, 2-time World Champion (WBO) in professional boxing.
Oleg Petrakov – Master of Sports of the USSR, winner of the II Summer All-Union Youth Games in 1988.
Alexander Pushkar is a 9-time champion of Kazakhstan in weightlifting, from 2006 to 2010, the record holder of the Republic of Kazakhstan, master of sports of international class, winner of the international tournament for the prize of Olympic champion Ogmanoliev.
Andreev Alexander – candidate for the Master of sports "Martial Arts", Cup winner  Kazakhstan in wushu-sanda, champion of the Karaganda region in NOMAD style, winner of the Asian Fighter Championship, winner  The International Wushu-sanda Crown Championship.
Tursin Baybol Orazbek-uly, candidate for the master of sports in wrestling "Kazaksha kures".
Vasily Samchuk, Master of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan in boxing, Asian champion.

Currently, Shakhty Technological College is the only educational institution of technical and vocational education in Shakhtinsk, which provides affordable, free work qualifications in 13 specialties and confidently occupies a leading position among other vocational institutions in the region. The quality and accessibility of education is a key factor in the competitiveness and success of our educational institution.

Since 2016, the college has been managed by Aliya Sattybayeva, who confidently leads the college to new achievements. Sattybayeva A.R. was awarded the badge "Honorary Worker of Education" (2013), a letter of thanks from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and diplomas from the Department of Education of the Karaganda region.

The college employs a highly qualified teaching staff: 90 teachers and masters of industrial training, of which 37 people (41.1%) are of the highest and 1st categories, and 6 people (6.6%) are masters.

The educational institution's development strategy is determined by a responsible mission: achieving excellence in all areas – in the goals, services, and lifestyle of employees and students. The college has a quality management system, and in 2018, it successfully passed the procedures of institutional and specialized accreditation for a period of 5 years. The following educational programs have been accredited: 1301000 "Electronic devices and devices", 1307000 "Operation of linear telecommunication and wireline broadcasting facilities", 1517000 "Protection in emergency situations".

Since 2019, the college has been the Worldskills site for the Electronics competence, and the Competence Center has been operating, where participants are trained in regional and national WorldSkills championships in this competence.

The College actively works with social partners, concludes professional practice contracts, and opens new specialties in accordance with the requirements of the labor market. Shakhty Technological College is the only educational institution in the Karaganda region where training is conducted in the specialties 1415000 "Elevator facilities and escalators", 1405000 "Installation and operation of equipment and gas supply systems".

The coverage of the practice in production is 100%. In the 2020-2021 academic year, 49 contracts were signed for professional practice, 38 of them for the Shakhty region and 11 for the Karaganda region. ArcelorMitall Temirtau JSC, Kazaktelekom JSC, Kurylysmet LLP, Karagandy Zharyk LLP, Remstroyservice LLP, Shakhtinskteploenergo LLP, Centurion Security LLP, etc. have become reliable social partners of the college. Dual training is carried out in the specialty 07130700 "Maintenance, repair and operation of electromechanical equipment" (by type and industry), qualification "Underground electrician" in cooperation with the enterprises of JSC ArcelorMitall Temirtau. Employment and employment of college graduates averages 90%.

The college has its own Board of Trustees and Industrial Councils.

To create a comfortable learning environment for students and staff, the college has five academic buildings. The college's material and technical base includes classrooms, laboratories, workshops, training grounds, gyms, a library, and a race track.

Our students successfully participate in various competitions, events, and projects: 2nd place in the contest "The best scientific and innovative idea" in Temirtau, RSE "KGIU", 2017; 3rd place in the republican contest "My profession is my vocation (essay contest)" "My profession is a teacher of the TVET", 2020; 1st place in the Worldskills regional championship in Electronics competence, 2020. In the republican project of the business incubator on the Terriconvalley platform, students' business projects were included in the top 20 out of 100 teams, 2020.

  Educational activities at the college are based on the needs and interests of students, college traditions, and cultural heritage necessary for personal development.  The Center for Creative Thinking, which includes technical creativity circles, student Parliament, project activities, and sports sections, actively involve students in their free time.

For 10 years, under the leadership of A.I. Shilov, the Arlan Club has been the champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan in mountain tourism on artificial terrain, ski tourism and sports hiking. The teacher A.I. Shilov, together with the students, created a training complex on artificial terrain, developed his own methodology for working out the standards. A.I. Shilov is an Honored instructor of Tourism of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate for Master of Sports in tourism, senior coach in the youth age group of the Karaganda region. 2019-2020 academic year:

The Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in TM (mountain tourism) on artificial terrain. The final of the Astana Cup - 2nd place; the open Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in ski tourism and the stage of the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan in TM – 1st place.

2020-2021 academic year:

The Open city TM Championship (on artificial terrain), the 1st stage of the RK TM Cup, the Republican TM competition in memory of V.M.Chepel - 2nd place; the RK TM Championship (mountain tourism), the RK TM Cup stage, the republican TM competition "ILI 2021" – 2nd place.

As part of the implementation of the Rukhani Zhangyru state program on the initiative of the youth movement of the Ziger College, a museum named after him was opened at the college in 2019. Bolat Abdykarimov, Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Today, the intensive changes in the country's economy pose more complex challenges to the system of technical and vocational education. An innovative college model is being built to train a qualitatively different format of personnel.  The fusion of the experience and creative potential of Shakhty Technological College allows us to confidently look into the future, make plans, set new goals and achieve them.

1. Participation in the Kazakh-Norwegian project "Assistance to the development of vocational education, training and retraining of highly qualified technical and service personnel in the Republic of Kazakhstan";

2. Victory in the Republican competition and participation in the International Competition for the "Best Entrepreneur", London (2009);

3. Victory in the IV International Festival of Creative Youth in Crimea (2011)

4. The college is listed in the encyclopedia "The best people in education" in the section "Anniversaries" (2013); in the encyclopedia "Gifted children – the future of Kazakhstan" (2012);

5. Creation of the only sports tourism development club in the region on the basis of the college, whose activities cover the age categories from 10 to 20 years, regional and national level competitions are held on the basis of the club.;

6. The Tornado college team is the champion and winner of the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the tourist all-around (2012).;

7. Diploma and medal of the European Chamber of Science and Industry for high-quality professional activity (2013);

8. Gold medal of the International Competition of the Association for the Promotion of National Industry (2014).
